Amy

Veterinary Technician

I graduated from Seneca College in 2008 and joined the clinic in 2013. An area of the veterinary industry that interests me is emergency/critical care, rehabilitation, and cytology.

My very first pet was Jasper. She was a beautiful Domestic Shorthair who I acquired through cat sitting, and the owners never returned. Currently, I share my home with three furry and mischievous felines: Nismo, Autumn and Prince. I adopted Nismo through a technician friend of mine when he was eight-weeks-old. Then came along Autumn and Prince, who are brother and sister. They came to Coxwell Animal Clinic when they were only three-days-old! I had the pleasure and experience of raising them since.

The best thing I love about my job is ensuring that every client’s experience is comfortable, educational and memorable. I love being able to spend each day practicing high-end medicine to make sure that we are providing the absolute best care in helping these wonderful pets that bring so much love, joy and companionship to their owners. My favourite thing about the clinic is the warm and welcoming atmosphere with friendly and knowledgeable staff that always go above and beyond for the clients and their pets.

Fun fact about me is that outside of work I love to spend as much time as I can with my family and friends. I have three beautiful nieces: Cara, Lyla and Bria. I love watching them grow up and cherish being a part of their lives and having them call me “Auntie Amy.” My hidden pleasures include photography, ceramic painting, cooking, going on relaxing scenic drives and experiencing the small-town atmosphere.
