Vaccines are important, as we are all in this together to protect our dogs from the spread of disease. Vaccination can protect your healthy dog from diseases such as parvovirus, distemper, and leptospirosis which we see not only in canines, but as well in wildlife such as raccoons. Some of these diseases like leptospirosis can be passed to humans. Rabies as well, which fortunately we have very little cases of since we are required by law to vaccinate. Our core vaccines (necessary for all dogs) include distemper virus, adenovirus (hepatitis), parainfluenza, parvovirus and rabies. Our optional vaccines are dependent on the lifestyle and risk exposure of your pet include Bordetella (kennel cough) and leptospirosis.
