Animal Care Attendant
I graduated the Animal Care program at Durham College in April 2015. I worked in an emergency clinic before I joined McLean Animal Hospital, where I learned a lot about the field. I decided to go into the veterinary field for the same reason most do, I wanted to help animals! I joined the office in November 2017. It is very hard to pinpoint one aspect of veterinary medicine that I enjoy the most. If I had to choose one area, I would definitely say emergency medicine because of how interesting some of the cases are. Second to emergency my favourite area would have to be rehabilitation. What I love most about the clinic is that I get to see dogs and cats grow into their personalities through each visit. I previously worked at an emergency clinic, so seeing healthy pets on a regular basis is nice. I enjoy how close-knit everyone is. The clinic has a really nice family vibe about it. In my spare time, I like to dabble in amateur pet photography.
